The best hot breakfast (bacon, egg, cheese on a pretzel croissant) and we got a pot of hot tea it was incredible. The owner was so welcoming and absolutely a 10/10 morning. If you are in Thousand Oaks area go here you will love it.

I highly recommend visiting this little gem of a neighborhood cafe run by the young mom-and-pop team of Robin and Carlos. Robin has assembled a wonderful team for making in-house, hand-made cakes and pastries. The crepe cakes, cruffins, croissants, and cinnamon rolls are especially good. Carlos primarily works the front and is a maestro of cafe Cubanos - perfectly balanced and textured - even better than Miami 😉 He also makes mean sandwiches! Especially his avocado toast with goat cheese. They take customer service to heart and happily speak with everyone to solicit feedback. I also recommend one of their baristas, Cameron, who knows the "true science of lattes." His blueberry lavender latte and cappuccino were wonderful. Almost every time I visit I see the same regulars coming as well which is a testament to their consistently excellent quality and service. Carlos also runs a "friendly neighborhood" chess club with custom chess tables in front of the Cafe. He will happily lend a set and play with anyone interested if time permits. 😀 Great couple genuinely devoted to customer satisfaction. 👍

If you have yet to try Historia Bakery Café in Thousand Oaks, you're missing out on some truly great coffee creations. The beans are perfectly roasted, and unusual menu items like Los Cubano (double shot with brown sugar and crema) and the Blueberry Lavender Latte are a real treat. Don't forget the actual treats, though. Omfg, the pastries. All are, in a word, incredible. The lemon bars are subtly sweet/tart, not overpowering, and the croissant creations are expertly flaky. Also fantastic are the breakfast sandwiches. All of this is enough to keep us coming back, but today we spent some time chatting with Robyn, the delightful proprietress. This amazing woman works 7 DAYS A WEEK, and her commitment shows in the warm atmosphere and truly spectacular food and bevs. Run, do not walk, to check out Historia! If you're not impressed, you may want to have your taste buds tested!

I absolutely love this place! Very clean, organized café with cute decorations and a charming feel. Hardest part about this place was picking which yummy treat to buy! Robin, the owner, was very kind and helpful in giving descriptions and recommendations. Super sweet, down-to-earth gal. I picked the apple turnover, apple Danish, and vanilla concha and they did not disappoint! Sweet, but not overwhelming and the breading is light and delicious! This place is a hidden gem, and I am surprised that it has not blown up more in popularity! Support small businesses SoCal! ❤️

We recently discovered this bakery/coffee shop and do we ever wish we’d known about it sooner! Firstly the coffee they use is extremely good, secondly the baked goods are delicious and the sandwiches, salads and avocado toast which are all made to order absolutely first rate. The owners make everyone feel so welcome and at home. We’ve only been going there for three weeks and we feel as though we’ve been part of their community for years, all their regular customers are really nice too. All that and the fact that they show EPL games makes it a perfect breakfast and lunch spot.

Anyone who has been lucky enough to enjoy cafe culture knows how special it is to find a place with personality, a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, great service with huge smiles, and excellent - and great value - food and drinks. Historia, with its happy chatty regulars, and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff, provides a level of comfort and a sense of community which is so rare in this area. Highly recommend the kouign Amman, a beautiful buttery layered almond or raspberry French pastry, crispy and flaky with a wonderfully moist and chewy center.

Pretty good coffee, really good food! Here's a picture of the savory sandwich we ordered and look at the size of that avocado! It's probably a little bit pricier, but it's good to see that they don't skimp out! Good ambiance inside too! Also, the owner talked me into ordering a Cubano instead of a Cortado and I think that was a very good move! It’s basically a shot of espresso, but with sugar in the coffee grounds before the shot is pulled.

This is my first time visiting Historia Bakery. I ordered the sourdough Breakfast Sandwich, a Raspberry Bar Pastry, and a Cappuccino. This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in quite some time. The sandwich which had fresh sourdough, poached egg, two types of cheese, and fresh tomatoes and yes, even the tomatoes were good(I grow my own tomatoes so I notice those kinds of things). The pastry was absolutely perfect. It was soft but not fall apart soft, and it had so much flavor! The coffee was very high quality, and delicious. The service was fantastic, and I had a wonderful chat with the owners who clearly take pride in their business and appreciate their customers. Please support your local business and if you've never been here to Historia Bakery, give it a try as you will be pleasantly surprised.

A delicious and authentic Cubano, flaky breakfast pastry, and truly kind and involved owner. So glad I came and will be back! They even have my dog a piece of bacon for being a good girl.

I love Historia Bakery! The food and drinks are delicious, and the staff is so friendly. I always make sure to leave enough time to play a game of chess, and they give me tips on how to improve my chess skills. I highly recommend any of the sandwiches on a pretzel croissant and the London fog drink! You can also never go wrong with any of the pastries!
